Women's Weekend Retreat
EVENT POSTPONED
Our partnerships and face-to-face interactions are a vital part of our daily life. Also extremely important are the health and well-being of our visitors, staff, associates, and fellow sisters.
We are taking the following precautionary steps to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and influenza among our vulnerable sister population in the Covington Sisters of Notre Dame Provincial Center:
We are discouraging visits to the provincial center. Unfortunately, NO visitors will be permitted to enter Lourdes Hall Care Center, also known as the infirmary.
As of March 13, all events at the provincial center have been postponed indefinitely or canceled through April 5. This includes:

This is a challenging time for everyone. We pray for unity, patience, and goodwill. We pray for the health of all individuals impacted by this coronavirus worldwide. We pray for our healthcare workers, leaders, individuals in quarantine, stranded travelers, and individuals and families coping with a new but hopefully temporary reality.
The Women's Weekend Retreat is a joyful time of connecting with ourselves and other women through fellowship and a shared journey of faith. The Sisters of Notre Dame invite women of all ages to experience a weekend of prayer, reflection, and sharing that will deepen our faith and relationship with God.

More Than One Way to Pray
Our guest speaker is Sister Marla Monahan, SND who has been involved in the ministry of education, formation, and leadership. She holds a Master’s in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA and has continued her theological education at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, IL and the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA. She currently serves as the National Novice Director for the United States Province of the Sisters of Notre Dame.
Sr. Marla will talk about deepening our relationship with the living God, as well as deepening our understanding of the meaning of prayer and ways to pray. Each retreatant will also have an opportunity to participate in the following activities: Rosary, Stations of the Cross, visiting Lourdes Hall Care Center, and Reconciliation. There will be ample quiet/reflection time.
Retreat Details:
- Retreat cost: $100.00/person (includes lodging and meals).
- Registration deadline for March retreat: February 28, 2020
- Registration deadline for April retreat: March 27, 2020
- There is a $25 non-refundable cancellation fee as of your retreat’s registration deadline date. Refunds will not be issued after registration deadlines have passed.
- Retreat begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and ends at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Retreatants may arrive beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
- Please bring comfortable clothes and any personal care items. Lodging, linens, and towels are provided.
- Retreat location: Sisters of Notre Dame, 1601 Dixie Highway, Covington, KY 41011. Free parking.
