Have you heard of the Daily Examen?

This Ignatian prayer of gratitude is a part of SND religious practice. It’s introduced in our first stages of becoming a sister, but anyone can do it!

A quick gist:

The Daily Examen is a prayerful process of looking at God’s presence in your life, how you’ve responded to it, and where you need to be more open to it.
This is done with five steps at the end of the day (and sometimes at lunch):

1. Become aware of God’s presence in your life.
"How was God in my life today?"

2. Review the day with gratitude.
"Who or what was a help to me or made me smile?"

3. Pay attention to your emotions.
"How did I feel throughout the day? How do I feel now? Why is that?"

4. Choose one feature of the day and pray from it.
"Lord, what can I learn from this one thing?"

5. Look toward tomorrow.
"Have I processed today, so that I can start tomorrow fresh and ready?"
