At-Home Mass of Remembrance
Live-streamed on Sunday, November 1, 2020
at 8:30 a.m. (Eastern Time)

Please join us virtually in remembering our beloved sisters and associates who are deceased.

In Prayer & Remembrance

Our deceased sisters and associates are very precious members of our community. We celebrate them, and we praise God for the way they have shown us how good God is.

They have shown us how loving God is through their love and compassion for those who are poor, their care and loving attention to those who are sick, orphaned, homeless, and trafficked, and to those in prison.

We continue to thank God for their countless years in the classroom, teaching children and the youth life-giving values. Each sister and associate in her/his own way, and with their particular gifts and talents has been a light in this world.

They have served the Lord. They have come to that final surrender of their whole being. May they now be a source of encouragement for us all.

As we recall loving memories, let us pray for them and to them. May they intercede for us in our struggles in today’s world.

May they strengthen our hopes for a better world. May they remind us that there is a time for everything, and in God’s time, all will be well.

Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, what God has prepared for those who love him.

Redeemer God, you have gone before us to prepare a place for us; strengthen our belief in your promise of the resurrection.

You have called our sisters and brothers into life with you; we celebrate the faith of all those who have gone before us.

“Let us remember we are all called to the happiness of heaven.” - Letters of St. Julie Billiart

God of Hope, we pray for all who have died, especially our sisters, associates, family members, and friends. They have served you in life, and now have exchanged their earthly dwelling for life that is eternal. May they experience the joy of your presence.

Sr. Margene was such a blessing to me. She was our faculty moderator for Choral Club, and so I became close to her throughout my years singing at NDA. When I went away to college, I was quite homesick, and Sr. Margene wrote to me faithfully with quiet encouragement and gentle support. Thanks to her, I graduated four years later with much improved self-confidence! May God welcome her to Paradise with open arms!!
