Now accepting USAA Mutual Fund donations

The Covington Sisters of Notre Dame are now eligible to receive transfers of USAA Mutual Funds as a charitable donation.

Checks, cash, credit card, and money order are accepted. Please make checks payable to "Sisters of Notre Dame" and denote greatest needs, retirement, or Uganda on the memo line.

Donate online by credit card or through your bank account at This can be a one-time donation or you can arrange an automatic weekly, monthly, or quarterly donation. 

• By Phone

Call Jodee McElfresh in the Office of Mission Advancement at 859-392-8228 to donate by credit card or for help setting up a recurring donation.  

• Gift of Stock

Send your gift of stock through an electronic transfer. Contact Jodee McElfresh at 859-392-8228 for transfer instructions to give to your current custodian organization / investment advisor.

• IRA Distribution

A qualified charitable distribution from your IRA could satisfy your Required Minimum Distributions for the year. The Sisters of Notre Dame of Covington, KY, Inc. are a qualified charity. Check with your IRA custodian about beginning this process. They may ask for the Sisters of Notre Dame EIN, which is 61-0485643.

Toward which ministry funds can I designate my donation?

• Greatest Needs

Designating your donation to the greatest needs of the Sisters of Notre Dame supports the operation of our ministries in educationhealthcare, and social justice outreach

• Retirement

Donations designated to retirement are invested in the SND Retirement Fund, which allows the Covington Province to plan for current and future retirement needs.

• Uganda Mission

Donating to the Uganda Mission advances the work of our sisters at the schools, farm, and formation center in Uganda, East Africa.
