Statement on Migrant Caravan

As a caravan of thousands of migrants from Central America continues its trek north to the United States, the Sisters of Notre Dame in North America stand in solidarity with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and leaders of Catholic aid agencies as they urge government officials and all US citizens to treat migrants compassionately. Now is the time for action!

A Lifetime of Care statue unveiled at St. Claire

A new statue is now on display at the entrance to the St. Claire Medical Pavilion in Morehead, KY.

"A Lifetime of Care" is a stunning illustration of SCH as a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Notre Dame and our enduring mission to proclaim God's goodness through a healing ministry to the people of Eastern Kentucky through the hearts and hands of our staff.

Sister Spotlight: Sr. Jan Marie Villalobos

Sr. Jan Marie Villalobos is an alumna of Notre Dame Academy (CA) from the Class of 1976. Sr. Jan Marie felt an interior calling to religious life in the second grade at St. Augustine elementary in Culver City. As she says, “I had a feeling of being called to religious life when I was in the second grade at a school Mass. The community aspect was solidifying. I had confidence that God was going to take care of me.”
