Mission News

As Sisters of Notre Dame, we are missioned to incarnate the love of our good and provident God. We do not do this alone. Many kind partners help us turn mission into ministry through their prayers, their engagement, and their financial contributions.

Here are some of the SND ministries and outreach our partners have made possible:

  • Serving as religious educators and prayer resources at parishes, including St. Agnes Church and Good Shepherd Community.
  • Providing senior services and pastoral care at places such as St. Charles Community, Carmel Manor, Rosedale Green, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, and Ivy Knoll.
  • Connecting the community through Pilgrimage Walks, the Ash Wednesday Day of Recollection, Women's Weekend Retreats, and young adult Charis Retreats.
  • Tutoring and empowering children and families in Northern Kentucky through the Notre Dame Urban Education Center. Many sisters who are retired volunteer at NDUEC several times a week.
  • Making a Catholic education possible for 600 children in rural Uganda.
  • Connecting with patients at St. Claire HealthCare and ensuring quality care in rural Kentucky counties, some of which are the poorest in the nation.
  • Providing emergency tuition funds to the schools served by the Sisters of Notre Dame. This is immediate relief to families we serve and students we educate.
  • Teaching and serving as principals and administrators at local schools.
