2012 4th of July Festival
Each year the Sisters of Notre Dame hold a festival on the 4th of July. It’s hard to believe, but this year marks our festival’s 90th anniversary. Plans are already underway in organizing this long-standing Northern Kentucky tradition. The festival attracts 3,000 people annually.
Proceeds from the festival help support our Uganda East Africa Mission that includes primary and secondary schools, a co-op farm, and a religious formation center; our Notre Dame Urban Education Center in Covington, KY, which provides a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for students during out-of-school, and summer hours, and the Sisters of Notre Dame Retirement fund.
Located on the grounds of the Sisters of Notre Dame, 1601 Dixie Highway, Covington, KY, this day-long event begins at 2:00 p.m. and runs until 7:00 p.m. Best known for the great entertainment, carnival games, food, and children activities, the festival is fun for the whole family.

Festival Sponsorship & Participation Opportunities
Each year the festival’s success is contributed to the Sisters and lay volunteers who organize and work the event, to the underwriting sponsors who help off-set expenses. Everyone plays a significant role in ensuring this event is a tremendous success.
We are asking for individuals, area businesses and corporations to partner with us and become either an underwriting sponsor or festival participant. Sponsorship and participation levels are designed to fit into every budget. We have tailored our sponsorship levels and participant level to better suit an individual or organization’s needs and to also offer an opportunity to publicly advertise through our 4th of July Festival Directory. This directory will be given out to thousands of people who attend the festival and provide the best method of showcasing your organization or personal message.
