Voter Voice

From the SND-USA Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) commission: Sisters of Notre Dame in the United States can now educate and advocate through the Voter Voice program.

Voter Voice is an email-based advocacy program that will alert Sisters of Notre Dame in the United States when legislative action is needed for JPIC issues.

Statement on Migrant Caravan

As a caravan of thousands of migrants from Central America continues its trek north to the United States, the Sisters of Notre Dame in North America stand in solidarity with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and leaders of Catholic aid agencies as they urge government officials and all US citizens to treat migrants compassionately. Now is the time for action!

A Message from the JPIC Committee

The Sisters of Notre Dame of the United States are deeply disturbed by the violence we see around us. Since Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012 there have been many more school shootings with six shootings so far in 2018. We pray for those who grieve and for those who have fallen. We acknowledge that our prayer is not enough.

World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation

Pope Francis has proclaimed September 1 a day of Prayer for Creation.  This “Season of Creation” concludes October 4, the Feast of Saint Francis. 

Francis invites each of us individually and as a community to enter into this period through Prayer, Reflection, by Reducing our Ecological Footprint and through Advocacy.
