Past Blessing Projects

The summer 2019 project was called BLESSING WATER BOTTLES. Sisters Mary Reinette Kroeger and Lynette Shelton shared that while living in Covington, homeless individuals would frequently use their backyard hose to get a drink of water, as there were very few public options for quenching their thirst.

BLESSING WATER BOTTLES entailed filling reusable water bottles with healthy protein bars, beef jerky, powdered drink packets, tampons, and a razor. A $5.00 gift card to a fast food restaurant was also included with a card that said, “Courage and hope is our prayer for you. Sisters of Notre Dame and Associates.” The BLESSING PROJECT group then distributed the bottles throughout the community.
